West Ham remain in talks with striker Michail Antonio over a new contract,\u00a0sources have told Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 33-year-old\u2019s current agreement expires in June 2024 – with the Irons holding the option to extend his stay a further 12 months until the summer of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio<\/a> is the subject of interest from Premier League clubs going into January as well as mega-rich teams in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He came close to leaving in the recent summer window, with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ettifaq the most interested in signing him and discussions held over a “huge offer”, sources say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio started for the tenth straight Premier League game during the 1-0 loss against Everton on Sunday (29 October).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jamaica international is now eight games without a goal in the top flight after notching his last strike in a 3-1 win over Brighton in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All told he has managed just two goals and one assist in 12 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danny Ings has rotated in for Antonio for West Ham’s Europa League games following the departure of Gianluca Scamacca in the summer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio’s best seasons came between 2019 and 2022 when he scored 10 league goals in three straight campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 33-year-old is West Ham’s all-time leading Premier League scorer with 63 goals in 238 top-flight games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Moyes’ side are next in action against Arsenal in the League Cup on Wednesday (1 November) before facing Brentford in the league on Saturday (4 November).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
