Gabby Agbonlahor<\/strong> has insisted Aston Villa will not rush into a permanent move for on-loan attacker Nicolo Zaniolo after his early-season performances.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong>, insisted he can see a “top player” in the 24-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zaniolo<\/a> started once again as Villa ran out 3-1 winners against Luton on Sunday (29 October) – but could not open his account for Unai Emery’s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Italy international joined on a season-long loan from Galatasaray late in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aston Villa will make that move permanent if certain obligations in the deal are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Midlands club could pay up to \u00a35.5million for the loan, plus a potential \u00a332.4million fee at the end of that temporary spell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far for Villa but is yet to score or assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agbonlahor told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2019s Ewan Kingsbury: \u201cHe does look like a very good player, but we\u2019ve not seen him at his best.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSometimes he doesn\u2019t make the right decision, the right pass. He\u2019s trying to do too much.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut there\u2019s no doubt that he\u2019s a talented player.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEmery won\u2019t be in a rush to decide whether to go through with the obligations.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet\u2019s see how he does, how many goals he scores.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
