Newcastle United will not pursue any legal action against AC Milan over Sandro Tonali’s betting suspension.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who exclusively told Football Insider <\/strong>that the Magpies will not risk paying expensive legal costs without having any evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by the Daily Mail<\/a>, Newcastle are considering ‘all legal action’ after Tonali was handed a 10-month suspension due to illegal betting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tyneside club will ‘attempt to determine how much Milan and Tonali knew of the investigation’ before they agreed to a \u00a352million transfer this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As revealed by Football Insider, <\/strong>Newcastle are set to continue paying Tonali his \u00a37million per year wages during his suspension<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maguire believes Newcastle have no hope of winning a legal battle because there is no evidence that Milan had any knowledge of Tonali’s addiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When it comes to a legal battle over Sandro Tonali\u2019s ban, Newcastle have got two hopes – slim and none, and slim’s out of town<\/em>,” Maguire told Football Insider’s <\/strong>Sean Fisher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I\u2019ve heard from a few sources this morning that it’s essentially a non-option.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So there\u2019s already a very remote possibility of this going forwards.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There’s no evidence that Milan had any knowledge of Sandro Tonali\u2019s illness or addiction.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Therefore, it would be a very, very tenuous route that Newcastle would have to go down.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I have a suspicion they will do an assessment and find that the legal costs will significantly outweigh the probability of a successful claim against Milan.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n
