Arsenal could now part with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale next summer, sources have told Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed the 25-year-old could be sold in 2024 – with the Gunners then free to go back into the market and sign a clear number two shot-stopper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ramsdale has been unhappy with his second-string status since David Raya’s introduction and wants to move elsewhere to get regular first-team football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Football Insider <\/strong>revealed on Friday (27 October) that Arsenal are unwilling to let the England international leave the club in the January transfer window.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed Ramsdale wants regular first-team football \u2013 not just to stake his claim for the Three Lions ahead of Euro 2024, but also to keep his career on track at a crucial time in his development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arsenal choosing to sell the shot-stopper would be a surprise U-turn from Mikel Arteta – who was initially adamant<\/a> about having two “great” goalkeepers in his squad after Raya’s arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the Spain international has dominated the teamsheet in the last month, playing nine straight games in the Premier League and Champions League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ramsdale’s only appearance in that time came in the League Cup win over Brentford last month (27 September) as Raya was ineligible to play against his parent club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arsenal reportedly<\/a> paid \u00a33million to sign the Bees man on a season-long loan and will need to pay Thomas Frank’s side a further \u00a327million to land him permanently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Ramsdale has been the subject of reported<\/a> interest from Chelsea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He kept 15 clean sheets in 41 games across all competitions in the 2022-23 campaign but has nonetheless been replaced by Arteta between the sticks as he vies to take the Gunners to new heights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
