Gabby Agbonlahor<\/strong> has urged Man United to sell “injury-prone” stars like Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw and kickstart a rebuild by signing Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong>, claimed other United stars like Raphael Varane, Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia are also “letting Erik ten Hag down” with their fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football Insider <\/strong>revealed last week (21 October) that Man United will have to pay at least \u00a360million to get a deal for Guehi over the line in 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed Guehi<\/a> is unwilling to move clubs in the January window as he wants regular first-team football prior to the European Championships in Germany next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man United have been forced to call on the likes of Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans in recent weeks amid a swathe of defensive injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten Hag’s side sit eighth in the Premier League following their 2-1 win over Sheffield United last week (21 October).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agbonlahor insisted Man United have “got a lot of work to do in the transfer market”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2019s Ewan Kingsbury: \u201cGuehi is going to be expensive.<\/em> Palace won\u2019t want to break up that partnership with him and Andersen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I like him. He\u2019s starting for England, he\u2019s getting caps. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s strong, quick, good on the ball.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut Man United have got a lot of work to do in the transfer market.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook at that defence. Varane isn\u2019t the same, he looks like a 35-year-old.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCasemiro isn\u2019t the same. Martinez is injury-prone. Shaw is injury-prone. Malacia is too.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnited have got a real problem and they need to see that those players will keep letting Ten Hag down with their fitness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey need to move them on, and go out and spend money on players who can stay fit.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
