Gabby Agbonlahor<\/strong> has insisted Casemiro’s Man United form is not a “blip” and he should have never been signed on a four-year contract.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong>, suggested the 31-year-old’s former club – Real Madrid – have pulled off an unbelievable deal to get \u00a370million<\/a> for the midfielder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casemiro enjoyed a successful first season in the Premier League after signing last summer (2022) but has had a more unhappy time in the 2023-24 campaign so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been criticised by fans and pundits alike for his early-season performances and has missed the last two games through injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man United handed the Brazil international a five-year deal with a reported<\/a> wage of \u00a3350,000-a-week upon his arrival at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has managed four goals and one assist in 11 appearances across all competitions this term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agbonlahor told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2019s Ewan Kingsbury: \u201cI don\u2019t think his bad form is a blip.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Premier League can catch up on players very quickly. It’s just like Fabinho.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe can\u2019t run any more, and he got found out. Clubs will target you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve got legs, you\u2019re going to have a field day against Casemiro. He\u2019s getting targeted.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHis legs have gone, he\u2019s giving the ball away, he can\u2019t get back, he\u2019s getting spun.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not his fault. It\u2019s the fault of whoever paid big money to bring him in on a four-year contract.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
