{"id":532862,"date":"2023-10-25T11:24:22","date_gmt":"2023-10-25T10:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/?p=532862"},"modified":"2023-10-25T18:02:40","modified_gmt":"2023-10-25T17:02:40","slug":"such-a-liability-arsenal-fans-react-in-dismay-to-potential-gabriel-jesus-replacement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/such-a-liability-arsenal-fans-react-in-dismay-to-potential-gabriel-jesus-replacement\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Such a liability&#8217; &#8211; Arsenal fans react in dismay to potential Gabriel Jesus replacement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Arsenal fans are seriously worried about Eddie Nketiah replacing Gabriel Jesus up front. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Football Insider<\/strong> has been gathering the reaction of fans after Jesus appears to have picked up a hamstring injury in Tuesday night&#8217;s (24 October) Champions League win over Sevilla. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The striker came off ten minutes early in the European clash after notching a goal and an assist in the 2-1 victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boss Mikel Arteta later admitted that the player himself asked to be substituted and admitted following the game that it is &#8220;not good news&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Brazilian is set to undergo a scan to assess the extent of the injury and fans fear he could be facing another spell on the sidelines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 26-year-old missed the start of the season with a knee injury undergoing surgery on a knee injury that he picked up last December that kept him out of action for most of the second half of the 2022-23 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.transfermarkt.co.uk\/eddie-nketiah\/profil\/spieler\/340324\">Nketiah<\/a> has made 13 appearances for the Gunners so far this season, netting two goals in those outings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the deputy centre-forward at Arsenal and was a regular scorer during Jesus&#8217;s injury absence last season, when his 39 appearances in all competitions yielded nine goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One supporter is worried Jesus is becoming a &#8220;liability&#8221; with injury problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nketiah leading the line.
