{"id":531822,"date":"2023-10-18T12:34:55","date_gmt":"2023-10-18T11:34:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/?p=531822"},"modified":"2023-10-18T12:34:58","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T11:34:58","slug":"disaster-frauds-everton-fans-react-to-takeover-twist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/disaster-frauds-everton-fans-react-to-takeover-twist\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Disaster&#8217;, &#8216;Frauds&#8217; &#8211; Everton fans react to takeover twist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Everton fans took to social media on Wednesday to react to the news that their club&#8217;s takeover by 777 Partners has hit a new hurdle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/DbYmxL3GpK\">New York Times<\/a>, the takeover process has stalled as the US investment group have failed to provide the required financial information to British regulators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Toffees posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.evertonfc.com\/news\/3683343\/club-statement\">club statement<\/a> last month announcing that a deal had been struck between 777 Partners and current club chairman Farhad Moshiri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, questions have been raised over the sourcing of 777 Partners&#8217; cash, and their failure to provide financial documents is the latest hurdle in the takeover saga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report adds that the takeover deal could collapse if suitable documents aren&#8217;t provided by 777 Partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US group have already loaned as much as \u00a365million to the Merseyside club to help with day-to-day operating costs, although that money will likely be quickly recalled if the takeover falls through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everton fans rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their views on the takeover twist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One fan believes that Everton are set for &#8216;disaster&#8217; whether the takeover goes through or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It does feel wherever we end up is a disaster.
