Tottenham could sanction a loan move for former Celtic star Jota in the January window. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong>, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton said Jota<\/a> would provide good competition for the likes of Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 8 October, Football Insider<\/strong> revealed that the Lilywhites are one of several clubs ready to sign the 24-year-old from Al-Ittihad in the winter window.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winger reportedly earns \u00a3200,000-per-week at the Saudi Arabian side and will need to be willing to move on in January if the sides are to part ways. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jota’s big money move to the Saudi Pro League side has not quite worked out with the attacker not even registered to play in the league. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked if Tottenham could swoop for the ex-Hoops star in January, Hutton told Football Insider:<\/strong> “He will be on massive wages you would have thought but if he were to join on loan Spurs would only have to pay part of that. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ange [Postecoglou] obviously knows him really well and knows what he is capable of. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think that is a position where Tottenham probably could have a little bit of competition, the likes of Son and Kulusevski play on the outside but I think he could add something to it. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I think he has got the quality to play in the Premier League, he is at a good age, he is still getting better and it is always a little bit easier when you know the manager because you feel like you are onto a winning start already. What a player he could be.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
