Sunderland will hold out for a fee of more than \u00a315million for star winger Jack Clarke, sources have told Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Black Cats kept Clarke, 22, in the summer window despite strong interest from Premier League newcomers Burnley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football Insider <\/strong>revealed on Monday (9 October) that the winger\u00a0is attracting interest from the Clarets and fellow top-flight side Brentford ahead of the January transfer window.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His strong early-season form has once again piqued the interest of top-tier sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Sunderland feel they are in a strong position to demand a top-bracket fee for Clarke – who is under contract at the Stadium of Light until 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony Mowbray’s side are keen to bank a huge profit on the winger after signing him for an initial fee of under \u00a31million in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke has scored seven goals in 12 appearances across all competitions, spearheading Sunderland’s charge into fourth place in the Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Black Cats are bracing for interest in the ex-Leeds star in the January window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 22-year-old earned a permanent move to the Stadium of Light after joining on an initial loan and notched 11 goals and 14 assists as Sunderland reached the second-tier play-offs last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke\u2019s last spell in the top flight came with Tottenham \u2013 but he made just four appearances for the London club after signing from Leeds for a\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0fee of around \u00a310million in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brentford and Burnley both currently occupy bottom-half spots in the top-flight having picked up seven and four points respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
