Brighton are not willing to include a release clause in any potential new contract for star winger Kaoru Mitoma, sources have told Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football Insider <\/strong>revealed on Friday (6 October) that the Seagulls are confident of agreeing a deal with the 26-year-old soon.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitoma\u2019s current deal only runs until June 2025 as several elite Premier League clubs eye a potential move for his services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, it is not believed that a release clause will be included in his new deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A well-placed source has told Football Insider<\/strong> that a buyout clause would “go against how Brighton do their business”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moises Caicedo did not have a release clause in his deal as he sealed a reported<\/a> \u00a3115million move to Chelsea in the summer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ecuador international signed a new contract at Brighton in March but was allowed to leave the south coast club just under six months later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, it is believed the Seagulls had a verbal agreement with Alexis Mac Allister which allowed him to join Liverpool for a knockdown fee in the summer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Reds paid an initial reported<\/a> fee of just \u00a335million, rising to \u00a355million after add-ons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitoma fits into the same bracket of talent as the departed duo following his good start to the new season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The right-footer has managed three goals and four assists in 10 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
