Tottenham star Ivan Perisic has reached a verbal agreement to join Hadjuk Split, sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 34-year-old Croatian is set to miss a big chunk of the season after suffering an ACL knee injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his contract expiring next summer, he is not expected to play for Spurs again and has instead been given the green light to return to his homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is believed that Tottenham are willing to grant Perisic a move in January and a switch to Split for Perisic <\/a>was discussed while negotiating a deal for Spurs’ newest recruit, Luka Vuskovic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The versatile performer, who racked up 12 assists in his debut campaign while operating mainly in a wing-back role, is keen to see out his career in Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions are advancing over a move to Split and he already has an agreement with the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tottenham will not stand in the way of the player, who joined on a two-year deal from Inter Milan in the summer of 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had an impressive first season in north London, when his 44 appearances in all competitions yielded one goal and 12 assists, the most at the club last term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perisic began his career with Hadjuk Split’s youth academy but left Croatia for France in 2006, where he joined FC Sochaux. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The midfielder moved around numerous clubs over the years and has played for sides including Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
