Nottingham Forest are set to earn \u00a314million from their front-of-shirt deal with Kaiyun Sports, sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Premier League side announced<\/a> on 30 August that they have struck a two-year deal with the Asian digital sports platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football Insider <\/strong>understands that Forest lowered their initial asking price of \u00a310million a season down to \u00a37million to get the deal across the line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Cooper\u2019s side played the majority of the 2022\/23 campaign without a front-of-shirt sponsor and had to do the same at the start of the current season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Kaiyun Sports made their first appearance on the front of Forest\u2019s shirts in their second-round Carabao Cup match against Burnley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forest\u2019s agreement has been met with controversy and they have faced criticism for failing to mention that Kaiyun Sports\u2019 primary business is gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Premier League clubs voted in April to ban front-of-shirt gambling sponsors<\/a> by the end of the 2025\/26 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaiyun Sports currently don\u2019t have a functional website in the UK and often advertises their company in Chinese despite gambling firms being illegal there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the controversy around the deal, it has been approved by the Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The value of Forest\u2019s new front-of-shirt deal ranks them ninth in the Premier League behind Everton and West Ham\u2019s \u00a310million deals with Stake and Betway respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, they are likely to tumble further down the list if Chelsea\u2019s \u00a340million per season deal with Infinite Athlete is approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
