Sheffield United owners will look to boost revenue as much as possible in the Premier League to maximise the takeover value of the club.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider <\/strong>about the Blades’ latest commercial deal and their ongoing ownership issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheffield United announced<\/a> on Tuesday (29 August) that they had signed a partnership agreement with Gtech Technology to become their new sleeve sponsor for the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal will add to their commercial revenue for the 2023\/24 season following their promotion to the Premier League last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United owner Abdullah bin Musaid Al Saud is currently considering a sale of the club, and stated<\/a> that they are currently “talking with many parties.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maguire believes the takeover saga held the Blades back in the transfer market while the Gtech deal is an example of United trying to boost all revenue streams to inflate the club’s value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I suspect that the Sheffield United Gtech deal is going to be worth high six-figures<\/em>,” Maguire told Football Insider’s <\/strong>Sean Fisher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The club will be looking to all options when it comes to boosting revenues this season.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The big challenge for the club is that there are still clouds overhanging Sheffield United in regards to ownership issues which has restricted their ability to spend in the transfer market.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The existing owners don\u2019t want to spend money when they are potentially looking towards the exit door.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“So they will be looking to make as much money as possible while in the Premier League, ideally as a club which is desirable to prospective owners by maintaining their top-flight status.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n
