Nottingham Forest and Burnley are battling it out to sign AC Milan forward Divock Origi before Friday night’s (1 September) transfer deadline,\u00a0sources have told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Premier League duo are in talks to land the former Liverpool favourite in a last-gasp deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Origi has been told by Milan he can leave on deadline day with a return to the English top flight a strong possibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proven Premier League and Champions League striker, 28, has impressive pedigree at the highest level, with a track record of important goals at crucial times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 30 August, Football Insider<\/strong> revealed that Fulham, Burnley and Sheffield United have all been interested in late moves for the former Liverpool striker.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Milan are ready to offload the 28-year-old after a difficult start to life in Italy and head coach Stefano Pioli’s long term plans for the club do not include Origi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Fateh have also made their interest in the attacker known,<\/a> as revealed by Football Insider<\/strong> (16 August). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last season Origi<\/a> managed just two goals and one assist in 36 appearances for the Serie A giants and was in the starting lineup for just ten of those outings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burnley are in need of attacking reinforcements after a difficult start on their return to life in the top flight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vincent Kompany’s side have lost both of their opening games of the season but progressed to the next round of the League Cup after a 1-0 win over Forest who are also keen to add Origi to their ranks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
