{"id":413470,"date":"2022-05-04T07:30:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T06:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/?p=413470"},"modified":"2022-05-03T20:12:46","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T19:12:46","slug":"jacob-ramsey-may-have-100m-plus-aston-villa-release-clause-after-confirmed-news-agbonlahor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.footballinsider247.com\/jacob-ramsey-may-have-100m-plus-aston-villa-release-clause-after-confirmed-news-agbonlahor\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacob Ramsey may have \u00a3100m-plus Aston Villa release clause after confirmed news &#8211; Agbonlahor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Aston Villa may have inserted a release clause of over \u00a3100million in Jacob Ramsey&#8217;s new contract, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking exclusively to <strong>Football Insider<\/strong>, Aston Villa&#8217;s record Premier League goalscorer admitted he hoped the club have &#8220;learnt their lesson&#8221; after Jack Grealish joined Man City for \u00a3100million last summer (2021).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aston Villa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avfc.co.uk\/news\/2022\/april\/26\/ramsey-pens-new-contract\/\">confirmed<\/a> last week (26 April) that Ramsey, 20, has penned a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2027. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote data-conversation=\"none\" class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">To be continued. \ud83d\ude4c <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/kPiJBT4OeI\">pic.twitter.com\/kPiJBT4OeI<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Aston Villa (@AVFCOfficial) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AVFCOfficial\/status\/1518994718318866433?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 26, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/jacob-ramsey-rewarded-with-70k-a-week-deal-by-aston-villa-nz6l9ksr7\">Times<\/a>&nbsp;reported the next day (27 April) the new deal is worth \u00a370,000-a-week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m sure Villa have learnt their lesson with release clauses,&#8221; <\/em>Agbonlahor told <strong>Football Insider<\/strong> correspondent Connor Whitley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think they will do that again or they will set it much higher than \u00a3100million.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Jacob Ramsey is going to keep going on and on and the big clubs will be looking at him. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;When you&#8217;re signed up for five years then it makes it harder for players to leave.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Look at Declan Rice, he&#8217;s got a few years left with no release clause and West Ham can just keep him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;It&#8217;s great news for Aston Villa.
