Tottenham’s asking price for Celtic loan star Cameron Carter-Vickers has rocketed beyond \u00a36million.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose<\/a> social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carter-Vickers<\/a>, 24, joined Celtic on loan in the summer of 2021 and has made 36 appearances for the club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been a key part of the Hoops’ squad and only has one league loss to his name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 29 December, Wenham told this site Carter-Vickers could be signed for around \u00a32.5million in the summer<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he has claimed that price – a Celtic source has told Football Insider<\/strong> the club are keen on a permanent deal ahead of the summer – has risen due to his impressive performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He seems to have settled in really well at Celtic,”<\/em> Wenham told Football Insider<\/strong> correspondent Ben Wild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I saw he scored a goal against Motherwell the other day. It just comes down to them paying the money. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I said in the summer that Tottenham would have accepted \u00a32.5million for him. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“That has probably changed now. He signed a one-year extension before he went out on loan.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The cards are all in Tottenham’s hands. I saw Celtic were interested in a \u00a36million deal. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I expect it will be even more than that now. His form has been so impressive.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carter-Vickers has previously spent time on loan at clubs such as Bournemouth, Luton and Stoke City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has made five senior appearances for Spurs after coming through the club’s academy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
