Aaron Ramsey’s “worrying” use of personal physios suggests the Rangers midfielder is struggling with a “recurring injury problem”, according to Noel Whelan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Aberdeen striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong>, claimed the 31-year-old’s “career is on the line” if he cannot find fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ramsey has played just 94 minutes since joining Rangers on loan from Juventus in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 71-cap Wales star has been sidelined through injury but returned to Giovanni van Bronckhorst\u2019s matchday squad on Saturday (5 March) as an unused substitute in a 1-0 win over Aberdeen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scottish Sun<\/a> claim (3 March) the on-loan midfielder has spent \u00a330,000 of his own money to fly specialist physios into Glasgow in a bid to find fitness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked for his thoughts on Ramsey’s situation, Whelan told Football Insider<\/strong>‘s Ewan Kingsbury: \u201cIt\u2019s so worrying<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s obviously struggled with injury for his whole\ncareer and been out of the game for quite a while over the years.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat has been the problem for him. We\u2019ve only seen\nflashes of the quality he has. He didn\u2019t get enough games at Juventus, and they\u2019ve\nhad enough of him and moved him on.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was an exciting move for him to come to Rangers, but\nwe\u2019ve not seen him. It\u2019s a really disappointing scenario because they need him\nin this title race.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut the bigger picture for him is that his career is on the line here. Who is going to take a chance on him if he can\u2019t get fit?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
