Arsenal must complete a “really important” swoop for “all-round” striker Alexander Isak, according to Kevin Campbell.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Gunners striker, who delivered weekly punditry for La Liga TV last season, was speaking exclusively to Football Insider<\/strong> about the 22-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to El Nacional<\/a> (2 January), Real Sociedad striker Isak is “loved” by Arsenal, with the north London club “close” to completing a deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sweden international’s release clause stands at around \u00a375million. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the Independent<\/a> in November 2021, the former Borussia Dortmund man said it \u201cwould be nice to play in England\u201d as he seeks to become \u201cthe best version\u201d of himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campbell insisted Isak is “exactly what Arsenal need”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI like Isak. He\u2019s a young, strong striker who has got a very good all-round game,\u201d<\/em> he told Football Insider<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot only does he score, but he can also link the play,\nrun in behind, and win those aerial duels.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGetting that all-round striker is really important for\nArsenal \u2013 as I\u2019ve been saying for a while.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe key is that he\u2019s young and coachable. Obviously, he\u2019ll have to develop and learn, but he\u2019s perfect, exactly what Arsenal need.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isak is contracted to Basque giants Real Sociedad until 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He penned a bumper deal at the San Sebastian club last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
